YES! It's that time of year again where the internation music industry community packs their bags to travel to Groningen (NL) to attend the conference and festival Eurosonic Noorderslag. For second year in a row we'll organise a PENGUIN x iGNITE! Music Showcase in De Drie Gezusters with five amazing upcoming acts on stage: Rosie Meyer (pop/edm), Silke Veld (pop), Marise (electropop), FRE (electropop) and HARDSLAG (rap/rock). This year the showcase takes place on Thursday the 18th of January from 19:00 - 0:00 hours.

Primaat is the latest sensation emerging from the music scene in the Dutch province Overijssel: the birthplace of many mind-blowing acts. This eight-piece live-music-monster operates on the cutting edge with a battalion of brass, Dutch-language raps mixed with funky and jazzy keys.
The new happy hardcore live act MOJO FYRE brings their own New Rave tracks combined with the best of the glory days of Happy Hardcore and Early Hardcore. They've already collaborated with legends of the genre such as Party Animals, Flamman & Abraxas, and DJ Dano.
SILKE VELD (NEW in our iGNITE! Music roster!)
Silke Veld might just be the most endearing Dutch singer and songwriter of this moment. She precisely strikes the right chord by singing about often weighty themes in a personal manner, yet ruthlessly juxtaposes it with self-deprecation and irony.
Marise writes and sings in Dutch. Her songs are intense, raw, and often deeply personal, delving into themes of fear and hope, friendship and love, and the internal battles fought to find happiness. Often at their core acoustic, they're expanded live with electronic sounds and a tight band.
FRÉ holds her ideals close to her hart and the way she expresses herself. She's concerned about the future of the planet and advocates for equal rights. These values resonate strongly in her daily life (besides being an artist she is also the founder of Music Declares Emergency NL), naturally echoing in her music. FRÉ is a modern songwriter, touching the edges of pop music, drawing inspiration from musical influences like Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, and Bon Iver.
HARDSLAG (NEW in our iGNITE! Music roster!)
High-energy pop songs with a hefty dose of hip-hop and a punk attitude encapsulate Hardslag. Raw bars interspersed with choruses that linger in your mind for days, and live performances that are nothing short of spectacular. These gentlemen are not just exceptionally musical but also stand out as performers.
ROSIE MEYER (SONAR pitch winner)
From 40 submissions to the SONAR pitch, Rosie Meyer was chosen to perform at our showcase and for a good reason! She describes herself as a small-town girl writing big pop songs: Rosie Meyer crafts tunes about the highs and lows of growing up. Expect enthusiastic and candid dance-pop with Scandi-pop influences.
